About us
We are Julea — where chocolate meets compassion. Founded by Judy and her daughter Leah, Julea is a heartfelt venture born from a shared passion for delicious, mindful confectionery. With professional and personal experience in education and wellbeing, we understand the lasting impact that special educational needs can have on individuals and their families. That’s why our mission goes beyond crafting sweet treats — we aim to make a social difference.
At Julea, we offer reduced-sugar options alongside vegan and gluten-free delights, using ethically sourced, traceable chocolate that supports cocoa farmers. We make every effort with our nut free and dietary choices, however, we do not guarantee no traces of allergens as we make a range of products in the same setting. Our fusion of familiar and global flavours is inspired by our belief in community, inclusion, and the joy of coming together through food. We’re proud to provide therapeutic learning and employment opportunities for young people who struggle in mainstream education settings, especially those impacted by trauma, ASD, ADHD, or social isolation.
Julea is more than chocolate — it’s connection, care, and a commitment to doing better.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: How is Julea socially conscious?
A: We’re deeply aware of how special educational needs can affect individuals
and their families — from emotional wellbeing to access to employment. That’s
why we create learning and work opportunities for young people with or without
diagnoses like ASD, ADHD, or those who’ve experienced trauma. We aim to reduce
social isolation and promote community unity through our work and our flavours.
Q: Why reduce sugar in sweet treats?
A: While our bodies need some naturally occurring sugars for energy, added
sugars can negatively impact health — especially for neurodiverse children and
young people. That’s why we reduce, replace, or simply don’t add extra sugar to
many of our creations.
Q: Are your products vegan and gluten-free?
A: Yes! We proudly offer a range of vegan and gluten-free options so that more
people can enjoy our treats without compromise.
Q: What’s special about your chocolate?
A: All of our chocolate is ethically sourced and fully traceable, supporting
cocoa farmers and promoting sustainable practices.
...and of course -reduced sugar and inclusion focused!
Q: What do you mean by fusion flavours?
A: Our flavours celebrate our heritage and the richness of global cultures. By
blending familiar tastes with international inspirations, we aim to break down
cultural barriers and build unity through food.
Q: What do you mean by professional experience?
A: Judy is a qualified teacher with over 25 years’ experience across mainstream
